Day 4: First day at work

So today was my first day at work. What did I do the last few days you may ask? Well… I pretty much did nothing. To be honest, I was really exhausted from my exam period, which had just ended on wednesday and also the preperation for my travel to here was kinda stressful as well, so I was just happy to stay at home and chill. Even though I did go out on sunday evening to go dancing. Yes, I know, 3 days without dancing is a very long time, and me starting to shiver and sweat because of such a long period without dancing was just too much, so I bought a monthly ticket for the bus and tram and went on my way through Göteborg into an industry district to go dancing. And it was definitely worth it. My journey led me back to the main station and another station next to it, where I again spent way too much time searching for the right stop while almost panicking (as usual, the right spot was the last one I checked). But luckily, I found my spot in time and since I still had ten more minutes of time before the next bus would go, I decided to take a quick tour through a mall right next to the station. Yes, in sweden all stores and shops are also open on sunday.

So anyway, my journey to the dancing school and back went quite smoothly (apart from that search for the bus stop) and I went to bed rather quickly afterwards.
Today I got up pretty late for my standards (6:50), took a quick shower, had breakfast, tried to learn some swedish on Duolingo and got into my bus at around 8. As I found out, no matter which direction I go from my bus stop, there is always a quick and easy way to my workplace. So, naturally, I waited on the wrong side while two busses passed in the other direction before I got into mine. Arriving at another small terminal yet another search for the right tram stop started, though that one was rather short. So I arrived at the office at around 8:30, got my check in card and everything and went to work. Obviously, I am not going to go into detail about what I am working on here, but what I can say is, that the work enviorment is a lot different here compared to what I am used to…

And that was pretty much what I did for the rest of the day. For my way home I decided to take the other route, which, as expected was pretty much as long as the first one…
