Damn, that’s quite a dramatical title, don’t you think? Clickbait much poppi, am I right?
Yeah well, maybe a little clickbaity. But I mean you gotta get your clicks somehow. And also, I have at least some justification for that title. Just bear with me till the end of the post, then you will hopefully agree… At least partially.
So as I had already mentioned in my last post I went to a dancing festival/convention this weekend. For those unfamiliar with those kind of events, normally you have workshops during the daytime and parties at night. The first party was on thursday, as I had already talked about and it was great, but I didn’t stay there for long. However, things obviously continued on friday. I arrived there at 18:00, went to two workshops for a total of two hours, drove home, ate some food, got ready again and left at around 22:30 for the party. This time, luckily, I had a lot less issues with busses and trams. Even though getting there was still kinda ugly, since the rain and heavy winds made even the short trip from the Central station in Mölndal (a small district/city south of Göteborg) to the venue and absolute hell. But, no guts no glory, I arrived at the party at around 23:30 and stayed until around 3 in the morning. Caught a bus home, got my well deserved 5.5 hours of sleep, got up again and rinse and repeat. Workshops from 13:00 to 19:30, party from 0:30 to 6. 3.5 hours of sleep and then workshops again from 13:00 to 19:00. Hell yeah.
Well, as you can imagine, I was a little exhausted after that. There would have been another party on sunday night, but I decided that I had plenty of fun and that all good things must come to an end, so I went to bed last night at around 9 pm. Which obviously resulted in my inner dancing spirit waking me up at around 11 pm screaming go to the party come on you know you want to do it, just go there but I said no. So I woke up again at like 2, the spirit still somewhat screaming (I mean, I could have made it, the party went on until 5) but I fell asleep again and ultimately got up at around 6 in the morning. And that was when I saw something new. At least new in Göteborg. You know, the weather here had always been really cloudy and wet and windy so far. But not today. I saw a clear sky, without clouds, and a lovely sunset approaching. To be honest, it was kinda weird leaving the house at around 7, knowing that the day before I hadn’t even been home at that time. But yeah, that feeling of a wonderful and fulfilling weekend combined with all its exhaustion, followed by a lovely beautiful morning… Yeah that kind of felt like a rebirth…
Of course, when I got home from work again today, it was already raining again, but well… Guess that is just Sweden for you…
